API Sales and Cooperation Manager

Are you a seasoned Sales professional with experience in the API industry looking for their next challenge? Join Egis to contribute to business development and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sales. Our team deliver to customers in over eighty countries, promoting, increasing, and optimizing both the sales and margin of the EGIS portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for growing our API Sales Business. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sales, you will promote, increase, optimize sales and margin of Egis API portfolio, implement and enrich Region Sales strategy. You will find new opportunities, negotiate, and close new contracts, and manage existing customers efficiently. The role is based in our Budapest commercial office with a permanent contract.

 

Main responsibilities
Commercial:

  • Reach objectives fixed in terms of budget/turnover/margin,
  • Set annual sales budget and a 3 to 5-year plan,
  • Implement commercial strategy and pricing policy,
  • Negotiate appropriate commercial conditions,
  • Negotiate contracts,
  • Monitor sales & margin performance and report according to defined tools
     

Business development/prospection

  • Work closely with Marketing to identify new opportunities,
  • Coordinate with strategy and marketing to drive initiatives that increase market share and/or profitability,
  • Coordinate customer projects from sampling to approval and commercialization
     

Sales

  • Manage customer relationships for all requests (supply, QA, RA, others),
  • Manage and coordinate operational activities: forecasts, Purchase orders in due time,
  • Manage and coordinate efficiently interfaces with QA /RA organization,
  • Plan and follow up commercial visits, and international conferences (CPHI, DCAT etc.)
     

Market Knowledge 

  • Follow up customers’ market to anticipate changes,
  • Collect competition information’s (market shares, prices, quality…),,
  • Collect, understand, analyze market information with support of Marketing,
  • Contribute to market anticipation.
     

Our Requirements:

  • Business oriented education + diploma into pharmacy or chemistry, biochemistry, health, or technical field
  • Experience in the API sales field (or another pharmaceutical/health sales field)
  • Fluency in English 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Networking capability
  • Customer oriented and excellent customer service experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High achieving, ambitious, and results oriented
