Role Summary
The Oncology Nurse Educator is a critical role within the growing Oncology team. Primary responsibilities include delivery of clinical education programs and in-services, along with clinical support, to HCPs (RNs, NPs, PAs, and PharmD) to meet Oncology strategic imperatives. The individual in this position will be responsible for a specific geographic area with the ability to travel up to 75% of the time, dependent on geography. The reporting structure is Commercial.
Primary Responsibilities
- Education Delivery: Provide education to HCPs to support patient treatment and ensure the safe and effective use of Servier’s products.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively create, build, and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, healthcare organizations, and professional organizations by providing current, in-depth, clinical information on products and therapies to enhance the company’s reputation and support its educational initiatives.
- Product and Disease State Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of Servier’s products, including but not limited to the mechanism of action, indications, dosing, administration, and safety profile.
- Presenting: Interact with HCPs by giving formal unbranded or branded presentations to improve understanding of Servier’s products both virtually and in person. Deliver on-stage, large-scale formal presentations to HCPs during symposia at educational conferences. Deliver small to medium-scale formal presentations at off-site educational speaker programs and on-site educational in-services.
- Clinical Expertise: Apply and leverage clinical expertise to initiate and engage in discussions with HCPs and nurses on complex medical and scientific topics related to Servier’s products.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Servier’s strategic goals and initiatives. In collaboration with the Senior Oncology Consultants, drive awareness and demand for Servier’s products to both optimize patient outcomes and achieve specific business objectives.
- Compliance: Demonstrate compliance with policies, procedures, and processes per Servier’s Leadership Attributes and Values.
Education and Required Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, required; advanced degree, preferred (MSN, NP, MBA).
- 5+ years of clinical experience in the Hematology-Oncology specialty, required; academic and community center experience, preferred.
- Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON), Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) required; or obtained within 1-2 years of hire.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, preferred.
- Existing Hematology/Oncology customer relationships; required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to deliver formal slide presentations, stand-up education to small and large groups, and lead 1:1 clinical conversations both virtual and in-person settings.
- Demonstrated ability to develop deep, effective working rapport and foster a collaborative, consultative relationship with HCPs.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and virtual engagement platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective collaborative working relationships within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills in the healthcare environment.
Travel and Location
- Must live within the territory: West Territory (Southern CA, HI, AZ, NM)
- Ideal candidate resides near a major airport
- Up to 75% travel within the US

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $137-$160k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
