Junior Compliance & Legal Officer

Scope: Adriatic Cluster (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina)

Are you a law graduate looking to launch your career in a dynamic corporate environment? We are looking for a Junior Compliance & Legal Officer to join our team in Zagreb!

In this role, you will provide essential legal support and assist in implementing our corporate compliance program across the Adriatic region. You will work under the guidance of the Compliance and Legal Adriatic Officer to ensure our operations align with local legislation and internal policies.

What You Will Do:

 Legal Focus (Primary Responsibility)

  • Legislation Monitoring: Actively monitor, interpret, and report on Croatian laws and regulatory developments.
  • Contractual Support: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts, internal acts, and legal procedures.
  • Risk Management: Support legal and regulatory risk assessments and help prepare mitigation recommendations.
  • Legal Research: Conduct detailed research on specific topics to support the Adriatic cluster.
  • Data Privacy: Act as the Data Privacy Officer for Croatia.

Compliance Support

  • Program Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of the corporate compliance program.
  • Due Diligence: Support the operational process for Third Party Compliance Due Diligence (TPCDD).
  • Monitoring & Ethics: Participate in continuous monitoring of activities to ensure ethical conduct and compliance with healthcare industry standards.
  • Transparency: Help collect and coordinate data for the Disclosures of Transfers of Value.
  • Training: Assist in preparing compliance training materials and educational resources for employees.

Who You Are:

  • Education: You hold a University Degree in Law (mag. iur.) – this is mandatory.
  • Experience: You are at a Junior level (0-2 years of experience). Previous internships or entry-level roles in a legal department or law firm are considered an advantage.
  • Language Skills: Mandatory fluency in both Croatian and English (written and spoken).
  • Technical Knowledge: You have a strong fundamental knowledge of the Croatian legal system.
  • Mindset: You have high ethical standards, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Organization: You are detail-oriented and capable of handling administrative legal tasks efficiently.

This is a unique opportunity to gain international exposure, supporting multiple territories within the Adriatic region:

  • Serbia (35%) & Croatia (35%)
  • Slovenia (15%)
  • Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina (5% each)
