Executive Director, U.S. Pricing & Contracting

About Servier

Servier in the U.S. is a Boston-based, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company launched by Servier Group in 2018. As a privately held organization, Servier is uniquely positioned to advance cutting-edge science, tackle underserved therapeutic areas and make patients the focus of every strategic decision.

Role Summary

The Executive Director, U.S. Pricing and Contracting is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the end-to-end strategic and operational execution of the company’s U.S. commercial value proposition. You will architect innovative pricing strategies, navigate a complex regulatory environment, and lead the organizational Pricing Committee to maximize patient access and net revenue. This role serves as the critical link between Market Access, Finance, and Legal, ensuring that our contracting remains competitive, compliant, and optimized for long-term growth in an evolving multimodal payer landscape.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Pricing and Contract Strategy
  • Design and execute short-term and long-term pricing strategies, including Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) setting and discount corridors that align with the IRA’s negotiated Maximum Fair Price (MFP) environment and evolving market landscape
  • Develop innovative contracting models, such as value-based or outcomes-based agreements, to secure optimal positioning on payer and PBM formularies
  • Lead performance analytics to evaluate pull-through effectiveness and contract ROI, providing actionable insights to the sales and trade distribution teams

  1. Contract Administration & Government Pricing
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of contract operations, including system loading, validation of rebate claims, and management of membership/class-of-trade controls
  • Ensure 100% compliance in government price reporting, including the calculation and submission of AMP, Best Price, ASP, and 340B ceiling prices to federal agencies
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of transparency reporting and state-level price increase notifications to ensure full regulatory compliance

  1. Gross-to-Net Accruals & Forecasting
  • Partner with Finance and Brand teams to develop and refine sophisticated GTN models that support accurate reporting and forecasting of discount rates across the product portfolio
  • Oversee the accrual process for all rebates and chargebacks, ensuring financial transparency and mitigating risks associated with revenue leakage
  • Conduct quarterly GTN variance analyses to inform senior leadership of the financial impacts of contracting shifts and market dynamics

  1. Leadership and Governance
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of pricing and contracting professionals, fostering a culture of compliance and strategic agility
  • Own and chair the U.S. Organizational Pricing Committee, facilitating cross-functional consensus on high-stakes pricing and contracting decisions
  • Serve as an internal advisor on federal policy changes (e.g., IRA, Medicare Part D redesign) and their subsequent impact on the commercial ecosystem

Education and Required Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced financial degree preferred
  • Experience: 12-15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, with at least 8 years in Pricing, Contracting, or Market Access
  • Therapeutic Knowledge: Experience in Oncology or Rare Diseases is highly preferred
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in U.S. Payer/PBM economics, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and 340B regulations. Mastery of GTN financial modeling and government price reporting systems
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex policy changes, such as those from the IRA, into actionable commercial strategies
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing multi-functional teams and influencing executive-level stakeholders while also demonstrating a willingness to provide ‘hands-on’ support for the team
