Legal Specialist

MAIN FOCUS AND MISSION:

Management of local Legal matters. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance of Nihon Servier Co., Ltd.

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the instruction of the Head of Legal and Compliance:

               Consultation on various legal issues and solution proposal (including legal consultation of the business schemes, seal management)

               Contract review (Japanese and English)

               Engagement and supervision of tasks outsourced to external law firms, appropriate collaboration with external law firms.

               Litigation handling together with external law firms (Note: the Legal Manager will not represent Nihon Servier in the litigation cases), other legal support in dispute resolutions

               Corporate secretary matters (including shareholders' meetings, corporate registration updates) with support from external professionals (e.g. law firm, judicial scrivener)

               Planning, establishing and execution of internal business processes related to Legal (including contract management)

               Development of various internal regulations (including the introduction of Global regulations, etc.)

               Provision of training on Legal matters

 

 

YOUR PROFILE:

Legal professional

 

Hard skills/ Expertise:

        Ideally + 3 years’ experience in international Pharma company located in Japan

        Ideally, legal qualification in Japan, US, UK or other country

        Ideally, + 1 year’s experience in an established law firm

        High analytical skills

        High drafting skills

        Japanese mother tongue

        Good level of in English (fluent enough to review/amend contracts in English)

 

Soft skills:

        Good communicator and team player

        Willingness to learn ancillary topics including pharma compliance matters

        Flexibility, clear thinking, broad view point, high integrity
