Accounting Manager

MAIN FOCUS AND MISSION:

 

Nihon Servier is seeking a driven Accounting Manger to manage accurate and timely reporting. This role will report to Head of Finance and entails partnering with FP&A.

As Nihon Servier Accounting manager, you’ll also be part of the Servier Global Finance network (Paris, HQ).

 This person will play a key role in establishing and documenting internal controls, leading process improvement projects and product launches. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manage general ledger accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including intercompany accounting, chart of accounts maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Monitor and optimize company cash flow and liquidity.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Prepares journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations for intercompany accounts.
  • Communicate with operational departments inside and outside the close process to ensure proper closing.
  • Generates internal financial statements for management review.
  • Collaborate and align with 3rd party logistics to track stocks.
  • Lead operational and system improvement projects and tasks.
  • Make recommendations to improve our system of internal accounting controls and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain documentation and SOPs for current and future policies and procedures.
  • Cross train colleagues on policies and procedures related to SOPs owned by this role.
  • Key contributor in the interim financial audit, year-end financial audit, and internal audit.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Stay updated on accounting and tax regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Hard skills/ Expertise:

 

  • More than 7 years of accounting experience in global company under IFRS.
  • Team and project management experiences.
  • Strong and fluent Japanese and English written and verbal communication skill.
  • Ability to extract data from systems and organize into reports; understands accounting data/structure within a system.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Advanced Excel experience desired (e.g., macros, v-lookups & pivot tables)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA qualification is an added advantage.
  • SAP system implementations experience is highly appreciated.
  • Working experience at pharmaceutical companies is plus.
