ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE MANAGER
BASE: Toledo Chemical Site
Report to: Site Director
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead, manage, and develop the engineering & Maintenance team in the chemical site.
- Ensure the maintenance plan and engineering projects are coordinated.
- Oversee occupational safety, quality, and legal compliance.
- Maintain the Integrated Management System documentation within the area of activity.
- Member of steering committee
- Direct Reports: Maintenance Manager – Utilities &shutdown manager- Project Engineer Manager – CMMS Administrator.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead, organize, and manage the team to optimize performance and development.
- Responsible for EHS management and legal compliance within the department.
- Manage CAPEX and LTP (3Y+).
- Manage OPEX maintenance budget.
- Oversee team management and technical team direction: competency matrix, EHS & Permits, collaborator development process (Performance, talent review, career dialogue, development).
- Plan Maintenance, including the annual shutdown + SOP Maintenance vs. Production.
- Manage group standards: Group engineering and Maintenance industrial direction and Central.
- Responsible for audits directly related to the area (legal, insurance, etc.).
- Certifications (GMP, ISO, etc.).
- Suppliers/procurement: Contract management.
- Integrate HAZOP and AMDEC.
- Use and control tools like CMMS, ERPs, etc.
- Ensure proper supervision, coordination, and management of the department's activity areas: Engineering, maintenance, utilities, Automation, CMMS.
- Responsible for technical area reports and area-specific documentation.
- Comply with and enforce the guidelines set by the Integrated Systems Management Program to ensure all products, processes, and services at the Toledo center meet applicable normative requirements (GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO22301, ISO 45001, ISO166002, ISO 50001, EMAS, IQNet SR10, etc.).
REQUIREMENS – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering – Industrial or similar.
- Master’s Degree in Team Management is desirable.
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in the same or similar role in the pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, or similar industries.
- At least 5 years of experience leading/managing and developing teams.
- English level B2.
- Fluent Spanish, minimum C1.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental legislation (ISO14001, ISO 50001, REACH, EMAS, ATEX, PRL, etc.).
