We maintain ethical and sustainable relationships with patient organizations, particularly in the fields of Rare Disease and Neurology.
Your Role: As the Regional Patient Affairs Director – LATAM, you will play a pivotal role in developing local Patient Affairs expertise and executing regional activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Local Patient Affairs: Establish, onboard, and develop local Patient Affairs capabilities. Work closely with affiliates to support the creation and expansion of local Patient Affairs roles and provide guidance on local strategies and projects.
- Regional Patient Affairs Activities: Collaborate with Region and Countries to prepare and implement the regional Patient Affairs plan. Organize regional communication events and engage with regional patient communities. Support countries in generating Patient Experience Data and develop regional expertise for selected activities.
- Fostering Collaboration: Work directly with local and regional patient advocacy organizations and foster collaboration between local patient affairs and regional clinical operations around Servier clinical trials and study recruitment activities.
- Stimulating the Regional Community: Develop actions for career and skills development, identify and share best practices, and utilize appropriate learning technologies to maximize training efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensuring Insight Sharing: Ensure local insights are escalated and shared across geographies and with Global Patient Affairs. Contribute to the elaboration and cascading of the Global Patient Affairs Strategy, ensuring regional perspectives are well reflected.
- Active Community Member: Act as an active member of the Servier Patient Advocacy & Relations Community and work cross-functionally within the LATAM regional structure.
Budget Responsibility:
- Manage the budget for regional-related Patient Affairs activities.
Reporting Relationship:
- Reporting directly to the Chief Patient Officer.
What We’re Looking For:
- Advanced degree in a life science-related discipline (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD).
- Over 7 years of operational experience in local Patient Affairs, with regional and Global Patient Affairs experience being a plus.
- Proven experience in Patient Affairs within Oncology.
- International experience with an understanding of different cultures and ways of working, particularly within the assigned territory.
- Collaborative mindset with strategic thinking ability.
- Success in a complex, global, matrix organization.
- Highly developed consultative skills.
- Results-driven with a customer service orientation.
- Clear understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements impacting Patient Affairs organizations.
- Ability to travel internationally. (approximately 50% of travel is expected)
- Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
