Oncology Medical Affairs Lead
Summary of Role
Medical Affairs Lead (“Med Lead”) is responsible for planning, implementing and executing the Medical strategy in line with overall product priorities. Lead high quality scientific communication with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), develop evidence generation plan and establish and reinforce professional partnership with wide range of stakeholders. Med Lead plays the core role in Medical affairs department as a manager position and may or may not be the line manager of Medical Science Liaison(s) or other medical employees.

Candidate Profile
Responsibility
- Leads developing Medical affairs strategy in line with global strategy and country insights, and secures implementation of planned medical activities of the designated therapeutic area(s).
- Drives scientific exchange and engagement activities which could bring additional value to the relevant therapeutic area(s) in efficient and compliant way and builds/consolidates Servier Korea’s relationship with key stakeholders
- Provides medical insights to cross functional teams including but not limited to, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, market access, ICTR and marketing
- Contributes to brand strategy by providing valuable medical inputs that appropriately reflects country medical practices and needs
- Assesses data gaps and clinical needs and leads developing evidence generation plan and its protocols at country level in collaboration with GMPA, if necessary.
- Reviews the incoming study proposals from external experts suggesting ISS, in the basis of global and local medical strategy, lifecycle management and development direction and provides appropriate scientific and operational feedback and in collaboration with the responsible MSL, ensures all necessary requirements are met for Global review before submitting to the system(eg. iENVISION).
- Takes the key role of review and approval process of promotional materials (PMRA) when required, and ensures promo/non-promotional communications are sound and balanced
- As a manager and/or leading position of the department, ensures optimal collaboration within and above country cross functional teams and role-models the culture and behaviors of the organization
- In case of people management, supervises and oversees the subordinates’ performance and development as a line manager, and takes the primary responsibility of keeping the team engaged and ensuring ethical standards
- Comply with regulations and Servier policies
Requirement
1) Basic qualification
- Graduate degree in bioscience (Masters, Bachelor), or, in nursing with technical qualifications and relevant experience. Medical doctor or advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, PhD, pharmacy) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred
- Professional English is essential
2) Minimun experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Medical affairs department of pharmaceutical industry
- At least 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Solid knowledge of the healthcare environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company
- People management experience is a plus
3) Required skills
- Ability to comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with therapeutic area experts (TAEs), physicians and other healthcare decision makers
- Substantial business acumen, ability to negotiate, to resolve problems
- Self-leadership, accountability and autonomy in managing his/her priorities and activities
- Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects cross-functionally
- Leadership, good active listener, good interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and strength of conviction
