Head of Market Access & External Affairs

 

 

Mission

Maximize the access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy for Servier products and future pipeline with a deep understanding of products, markets, stakeholders, and healthcare policy.

 

 

 

Activities & Responsibilities

 

  • The Head of Market Access & External Affairs is responsible for managing access, pricing, and reimbursement processes, as well as public affairs & communications including:
    • P&R dossier development, including pharmaco-economics/budget impact analysis, and delivering scientific communications. Follow up on supplementary data requests with HIRA and NHIS reviewers.
    • Lead the development of price negotiation strategies and execute price negotiations with the government.
    • Develop real-world evidence research plans when necessary and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
    • Manage relationships with relevant government agencies (HIRA, NHIS, MoHW), other key stakeholders (National Assembly, Clinical Academia, HTA Experts Group), and media.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Units, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Finance) to develop and implement P&R strategies.
    • Work closely with the global team (GVA&P) to secure support for data generation and obtain global pricing approvals.
    • Product life cycle management, including price erosion and reimbursement scope expansion.
    • Monitor policy and regulatory changes and advocate for a favorable environment for Servier.
    • Develop, coach, lead, and support team members.

 

  • The role will work cross-functionally with business units, medical affairs, regulatory affairs functions

 

  • One of his / her mission will also be to work with Medical director to integrate the voice of the patient at each stage of the drug lifecycle, but particularly at the time of reimbursement, working closely with all stakeholders.

 

  • The person should also demonstrate integrity in accordance with the highest ethical and compliance standards, including Servier Code of Ethics and Business Conduct policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

 

 

 

Requirements

 

  • 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a university degree or higher. MPH, MSc, or PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in P&R (market access strategy development and execution).
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret clinical, health economics, and outcomes research data.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in PE modelling, statistics, and clinical trials are preferred.
  • Experience in Public affairs & media communications are preferred.
  • Experience working with patients association is a strong plus.
  • Strategic and logical thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Korean.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage in productive debates and collaborations.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with demanding timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing people.
  • In-depth understanding of the market environment and the payer's perspective.
