Servier's dedicated R&D efforts in the field of neurology are steadily expanding with a rapidly advancing pipeline across drug discovery and development. Within our dynamic drug discovery and development pipeline, our projects hold the potential to provide therapeutic solutions for patients with the highest uncovered medical needs.
Our Clinical Lead’s primary responsibility is to be a key reference for all members of a disease program, bringing clinical experience and scientific acumen, as well as an innovative approach to drug development. As a Clinical Leader, your role will be key in advancing our assets from research into development and executing optimized, innovative drug trials to deliver promising new drugs to patients.
In this high-visibility role starting from the late preclinical stage, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering clinical development strategies and plans, maximizing the potential and value of our assets, with the ultimate goal of introducing novel medicines to enhance the lives of patients grappling with rare neurological diseases.
The Clinical Lead expertise will be key in supporting external partnership evaluations, both in early as well as late research and development which will contribute to the successful growth and development of Servier’s Neurology franchise for the coming years.
Responsabilities:
- Define strategies and lead the global clinical development plans according to the best medical, societal and economic values of the project.
- Lead the clinical sub-team.
- Recommend emerging and innovative medical and therapeutic clinical development approaches.
- Design the clinical trials at all stages: prepare the synopsis with the support of the clinical sub team. Analyze the study results and integrate them in the drug global development plan; identify potential risks and challenges in clinical development and develop strategies to mitigate challenges; Contribute to the writing of the clinical part of regulatory documents (pre-IND, IND, scientific advice…) and participate in the corresponding regulatory meetings
- Provide expertise in clinical neurology to support the development of new therapies directed across our pipeline towards rare pediatric and adult neurological diseases
- Support the Asset Leader(s) for one or several projects at preclinical and clinical development stages.
- Contribute to emerging medical and scientific innovation at drug discovery stage
- Lead interactions and represent Servier, with health authorities and regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, patient organizations and public/private partnerships according to project needs
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) specialized in neurology / neuropediatrics / pediatrics
Hard skills/Expertise:
Proven 5+ years’ experience in global clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including early clinical development and innovative strategies in neurological rare diseases.
In-depth knowledge of drug development for neurological rare diseases
Demonstrated ability to work with key opinion leaders across neurology, in the proposition and delivery of clinical studies.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Fluency in English
