Market Access and Pricing Manager - Middle East

.

Job Purpose

 

  • Managing the market access responsibilities in close collaboration with the head of the department.
  • Design and develop market access and pricing strategies for the whole portfolio in alignment and close co-operation with cross functional teams.
  • Understand the external stakeholders mapping and requirements (Health authorities and private insurance companies) for demonstrating Servier’s portfolio value.
  • Manage the market access and pricing strategy to unlock access barriers and ensure the smooth access for Servier’s brands for all funding segments in the ME
  • Cross functionality & collaboration with Global teams as well as other ME departments to ensure implementation as per company’s strategic plans.
  • Adhering to the Company’s policies and directives of Compliance as a part of all employees’ responsibilities.

Principle Accountabilities

To accelerate and optimize patients access to the company portfolio through all funding segments

  • Develop & implement a comprehensive Market Access & pricing road map for the ME, focusing on key initiatives and priorities in line with Business objectives
  • Responsible to collaborate with all functions in developing strategic plans to manage brand life-cycle starting from the pre-registration phase in market preparation and building access and pricing strategies till after registration and getting full patients access in all funding segments in the ME (Public, Insurance and Self-pay)
  • Effective implementation & management of innovative access schemes and patient access programs locally through robust business cases validation internally and externally.
  • Customize clinical and technical data into simple compelling value messages in the format required and appropriate for local stakeholders.
  • Define value proposition by consolidating tools, value dossiers, needed pharmacoeconomic models.
  • Ensure that all market access activities comply with relevant laws and regulations

 

 Pricing management

  • Work with local and global teams to optimize the launch sequence strategy (LSO) for the best outcomes on the new launches’ prices/ timings.
  • Along with the Head of the Regulatory Affairs & Market Access Department, develop pricing scenarios, pricing and reimbursement strategies and keep close monitor on the pricing in the region.
  • Prepare and present evidence-based value propositions to external stakeholders to support product reimbursement and access.
  • Prepare the pricing submissions (national or on account levels) in line with the company’s objectives.

 

External engagements and partnerships

  • Build strong partnerships and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, policymakers, and patient advocacy groups stakeholders (through well integrated cross functional stakeholders’ management, education and awareness).
  • Maintain an updated list of all clear stakeholders/ process mapping for key accounts/insurances in the ME.
  • Monitor the changes and the competitive situation in the environment to anticipate the risks and leverage the opportunities for broader access
  • Address HTA as well as payers and providers requirements

HEOR (Health economics and Outcome research)

  • Conduct health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to demonstrate the value of products in terms of cost-effectiveness and benefit to patients.
  • Provide input to the Medical department for inclusion of local HEOR end-points in the data generation projects.

Dimensions

  • Geographical span: Strategically Middle East and operationally in KSA or UAE.
  • Responsible for the ME market access and pricing strategy in line with the company’s plan.
  • Close follow up and interactions with the Head of Regulatory Affairs & Market Access Department.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & work closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, Regulatory Affairs and medical affairs to align market access strategies with overall business objectives

Skills & Knowledge 

  • In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Arabian regulatory environment, including SFDA guidelines and requirements.
  • Familiarity with pricing and reimbursement processes in KSA.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations, market data, and economic evaluations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Solid experience in Hematology/Oncology is a must

Requirements:

  • KSA market experience is a must
  • At least 2 years of field access experience in Oncology/Hematology is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in market access, regulatory affairs, health economics, or a related field within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully navigating regulatory environments and securing market access in KSA market

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues across different departments and regions.

 Language Skills:

  • Excellent Arabic and English language
