Role Summary
The Director, National Nurse Education leads the strategic direction and execution of U.S. oncology nurse education initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-impact product and disease-state education to healthcare professionals nationwide. This role drives cross-functional collaboration, supports enterprise oncology priorities, and enhances clinical outcomes through education, engagement, and leadership.
The Director will partner closely with the Sales Directors, Brand Marketing, Legal, Compliance, L&D, Market Access, and Medical Affairs. In addition to core functional responsibilities, this role will serve on the Commercial Leadership Team and act as an enterprise leader, contributing to the strategic direction and cross-functional alignment of the broader Commercial function.
Primary Responsibilities
· Define, lead and execute the national nurse education strategy, aligning initiatives with overarching oncology enterprise objectives.
· Lead and mentor a high-performing team of oncology nurse educators (RNs and APRNs) delivering education across oncology clinics, cancer centers, and hospital systems nationwide. Develop team leadership capabilities and effectively navigate organizational change.
· Partner cross-functionally with Senior Leadership, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Patient Affairs, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to advance strategic goals and optimize clinical impact.
· Drive integration between Nurse Educators and commercial teams, including Sales and Brand Marketing, to enhance field effectiveness and educational reach.
· Oversee the planning and execution of educational initiatives at national oncology conferences and industry events.
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with national nursing organizations, as well as pharmacy and medical professional societies, to expand influence and engagement.
· Lead organizational change initiatives, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
Job Description
Candidate Profile
Education and Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience including 7+ years of clinical experience in the Hematology-Oncology specialty, required.
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other related advanced nursing degree, required
- Experience in coaching, training, and mentoring within a professional setting, required.
- Demonstrated successful leader. Experience leading a team (people leader), required.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills; confident in presenting to senior leadership.
- Collaborative, independent, and able to prioritize strategic areas of importance to the company
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities with strategic and tactical approaches
Travel and Location
- Ideal candidate resides near a major airport
- Up to 75% travel within the US

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $197-$237k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
