MISSION: The Therapeutic Area Manager is responsible for defining and leading the medical strategic and operational activities for one or more therapeutic areas,.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the therapeutic area strategy aligned with overall company objectives
- Provide strategic direction and alignment to their Medical Affairs team within the therapeutic area,
- Act as the subject matter expert for the assigned therapeutic area internally and externally
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Market Access teams
- Lead product lifecycle management, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare stakeholders
- Ensure compliance excellence and ethical standards
- Drive cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
- Team management (Medical Advisory/s – MSL/s) ensuring they work in alignment with the company's objectives while promoting their professional development”).
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or similar).
- PhD or clinical specialization is a plus.
Experience
- 5–8+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Medical Affairs.
- Prior experience in the specific therapeutic area.
- Experience in project and/or team leadership.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong scientific and clinical knowledge.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Communication and influencing skills.
- Experience interacting with KOLs.
- High level of English proficiency.
