Are you a rigorous and innovative scientist passionate about accelerating drug discovery through advanced analytical techniques?

We are seeking a High-Throughput Screening (HTS) by MS Scientist to join our Integrative Molecular Pharmacology unit within the Research department. This is a unique opportunity to deploy and lead a 2D-LC/MS platform dedicated to Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry (AS-MS). Your work will be pivotal for the identification of drug candidate molecules and hits validation through high-throughput primary screens and dose-response experiments, directly impacting the early stages of our therapeutic pipeline.

Why Join Us?

  • Impactful Research: AS-MS is a transformative technology in drug discovery, allowing for the rapid identification of ligands from complex libraries. By developing and applying these methods, you will provide critical data that guides the selection of the next generation of medicinal compounds.
  • Innovative Environment: Work at the R&D Servier Paris Saclay Institute, a state-of-the-art facility where you will implement cutting-edge 2D-LC/MS methods. You will be at the forefront of analytical innovation, ensuring the scientific quality and traceability of studies using the latest laboratory instruments and software.
  • Collaborative Team: Join a multidisciplinary and international environment. You will work proactively with colleagues across drug discovery, protein production, protein characterization and biophysics teams in both Saclay and Boston, ensuring a global integration of research efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, develop, and optimize a 2D-LC/MS platform dedicated to Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry (AS-MS).
  • Perform data analysis for high-throughput primary screens (hit finding) and hit validation (dose response) experiments.
  • Work proactively with multidisciplinary teams (drug discovery, protein production, protein characterization, biophysics) in Saclay and Boston.
  • Communicate methods and results effectively, both in writing and orally, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train co-workers in AS-MS methods and provide technical expertise within the team.
  • Ensure the scientific quality of studies, maintain data traceability via ELN, and comply with all internal regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain optimal operation of laboratory instruments and software in coordination with manufacturers and support staff.
  • Stay updated on innovations in LC-MS-based analytical methods and drug discovery approaches to maintain team expertise.

Profile:

  • Bac+5 to Bac+8 (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Analytical Chemistry applied to biomolecules.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Prerequisite knowledge of physico-chemical characterization of proteins by chromatography and mass spectrometry.
  • Proficiency in LC-MS software for data analysis and a high level of comfort with informatics tools.
  • Experience in biophysics techniques (nDSF, DSF, TSA), enzymology, or small molecule characterization is a strong plus, as well as interest in HTS.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is mandatory.
  • Highly rigorous and organized approach to work with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive mindset with a talent for exploring new technologies and keeping up to date with the evolving field of drug discovery.

We are committed to equal opportunities and developing talents in all their diversity. We value both experience and the desire to engage daily in contributing to therapeutic progress for the benefit of patients. If this offer resonates with you, seize this opportunity to meet us!
