About the role:

Within the clinical development biomarker oncology team in the Translational Medicine structure, you will have the responsibility to identify and develop biomarkers to increase projects’ probability of success by selecting the right population benefiting from the treatment and to supporting the validation of the proof of mechanism and the best efficacy/safety ratio. You may be also in charge of defining and setting up human experimental studies aiming at increasing our ability and knowledge on “targeted population” to improve projects probability of success.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead the biomarker plan strategy to support the clinical development from Lead Optimization to Life Cycle Management stages
  • Be a member of the project team and of the core-team according to project stage and could participate to meetings with partners, experts & health authorities
  • Contribute to indications selection, to identification of sub-populations & drug combinations based on project needs to guide the clinical development plan
  • Contribute to define criteria for project decision supported by biomarker data in close collaboration with clinical and biostatistics teams
  • Coordinate in link with the pharmacologist as well as technical expert teams the generation of in vitro/in vivo/ex vivo data to identify/confirm biomarker hypotheses
  • Contribute to the design of pharmacological studies
  • Provide interpretation of biomarker data with biostatistics, modeling, clinical pharmacology and clinician
  • Write the biomarker part of the internal and regulatory documents
  • Enrich the Biomarker related knowledge of pathologies related to oncology

What we’re looking for :

  • Background: Scientific initial training (PhD in Life Sciences +/- Post-doc, PharmD, MD) and in-depth knowledge in oncology. Ideally 1-3 years experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Hard Skills :
    • Expertise in oncology and understanding pathophysiology
    • Experience in translational research and biomarker strategies
    • Knowledge in drug development and clinical trial methodologies
    • Language skills : Fluent in English, French is a plus
  • Soft skills:
    • Strong collaborative spirit, eagerness to share knowledge and expertise within the team
    • Capability to work in matrixial organization with other expertise
    • Innovative, able to challenge status quo
    • Good communication skills, ability to convince and be challenged
    • High commitment to bring innovative medicine to patients with unmet needs
    • Problem-solving oriented
