Regional sales manager

Area Manager - Team East, Slovakia

Job Description

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, coach and motivate the assigned team to achieve agreed sales and activity targets in line with company strategy.
  • Translate national strategy into regional priorities, objectives and action plans, and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Monitor team performance through regular field visits, dual calls, feedback, coaching and development activities.
  • Analyse sales results, regional potential, customer segmentation, market trends and competitors, and propose actions to achieve business objectives.
  • Support daily field work, customer engagement, promotional activities, regional prioritisation and follow-up of action plans.
  • Collect and report field feedback, activities and performance updates to the CMVD Business Unit Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement the information and promotion strategy in the assigned region and contribute field insights to campaign preparation.
  • Prepare and participate in regional meetings, cycle meetings, workshops, conferences, congresses and other professional events.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key external stakeholders and ensure effective cooperation with internal departments.
  • Manage the regional budget and expenses responsibly and ensure compliance with internal regulations, including Ethics, Compliance and Pharmacovigilance.

Candidate Profile

What we are looking for:
  • University degree, preferably in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry; field sales or people-management experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent Slovak and communicative English.
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region and to Head Office.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and business-oriented mindset with the ability to turn data and market insights into actions.
  • Result-oriented, well-organized and solution-focused approach.
  • High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Good command of MS Office tools.
