Senior Microbiology Analyst

As a Quality Control Analyst in the Microbiology Lab, you will be responsible for performing a range of microbiological tests to assess the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. This role requires technical expertise in microbiological techniques, adherence to cGMP, FDA regulations, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of product quality.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Microbiological Testing:
- Conduct microbiological tests, including but not limited to microbial enumeration, bacterial endotoxin testing, sterility testing, and environmental monitoring.
- Ensure that all testing procedures are conducted following established protocols and quality standards.
- Instrument Operation:
- Operate and maintain microbiological laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform routine calibration and verification of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze microbiological test results and accurately document data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing microbiological test findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance and Quality Standards:
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant quality standards in all microbiological testing activities.
- Assist in the investigation of deviations or non-conformances, participating in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work collaboratively with other quality control analysts, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure coordinated microbiological testing.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Microbiology Lab.
- Provide input for the optimization of microbiological testing methods, procedures, and laboratory processes.
