Patient & Diagnostic Manager

1. POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Position Title: Patient & Diagnostic Manager
  • Department: Medical & Patient Affairs
  • Location: Argentina
  • Reports to: Medical & Patient Affairs Director

2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Lead the scientific and operational patients orchestration between pathology, oncology, hematology, neuro-oncology, radiology, and molecular biology within the multidisciplinary team, to accelerate the timely identification of the IDH1 and IDH2 mutation in patients with: Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), Glioma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), Metastatic Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma (mPDAC)

This role leads to the design, governance, and implementation of the patient identification-to-treatment inclusion pathway, integrating diagnostic, testing, medical validation, and management of Patient Support Programs (PsP) within Medical & Patient Affairs.

The mission is to ensure that every eligible patient is identified, registered, connected to treatment, and longitudinally supported.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Diagnostic Strategy & Patient Identification

  • Reduce the turnaround time (TAT) from initial diagnosis to actionable molecular results.
  • Increase the testing rate for IDH1 and IDH2 mutations across eligible patient populations.
  • Drive reflex testing strategies where clinically applicable.
  • Map diagnostic centers, molecular testing capabilities, and referral networks.
  • Develop and monitor the “Patient Identification Flow”, connecting test results to clinical teams and the PsP.
  • Ensure timely and ethical data flow between laboratories, treating physicians, and Medical & Patient Affairs.
  • Create and deliver educational scientific materials on testing guidelines, biomarkers, and diagnostic algorithms (IDH, etc.).

B. Integration with Patient Support Programs (PsP)

  • Coordinate patient pathways into PsP with robust ethical and medical governance.
  • Ensure early linkage of diagnosed patients to support services (QoL, health care education, access, adherence, psychosocial assistance).
  • Generate and analyze KPIs on patient capture, inclusion rates, time-to-treatment, and adherence.
  • Actively interacting with Patient Navigators and Patient Organizations (POs).

C. Data Flow & Medical Governance

  • Oversee secure, compliant integration of data between diagnosis, medical registry, and PsP systems.
  • Develop anonymized dashboards and medical metrics (testing rates, mutation-positive cases, inclusion ratios).
  • Uphold the highest standards of medical governance by ensuring full compliance with CAEME, ANMAT, Servier internal policies, and local regulations.

D. Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • HealthCare System Navigation: Collaborate with institutional stakeholders to improve: Access to molecular testing, sample logistics and shipment workflows, turnaround times (TAT), and third-party logistics providers.
  • Act as medical liaison with diagnostic labs, pathology units, molecular biology services, and referral centers.
  • Map and manage stakeholders across the continuum of care to address institutional barriers to access.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Patient Organizations, PAGs, and hospital patient officers.
  • Participate in patient’s advisory boards, tumor boards, and scientific networks (GAINO, IBTA, etc.).

 

 

E. Evidence Generation & Insights

  • Collect and analyze insights related to diagnostic barriers, referral delays, and patient drop-offs.
  • Lead or support RWE projects on testing, patient journeys, adherence, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate in publications, congress posters, and internal reports.

4. REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

Education & Experience

  • Degree: MD, Biochemist, Pharmacist, or other degree in Life Sciences.
  • Experience: at least 5 years of proven experience leading Medical/Patients Affairs initiatives within Oncology/Hematology or Precision Medicine.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of molecular diagnostics, biomarker-driven strategies, and Patient Support Programs (PsP).
