Role Summary
The Senior Manager, US Meetings & Events is a strategic member of the U.S. Meeting & Events Planning team within the Corporate Strategy, Development, and Operations (CSDO) department. This high-impact role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of 10–15 flagship events annually, with a dedicated focus on C-Suite leadership programs and large-scale corporate events at Servier’s Boston headquarters.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Meeting Planning, the Senior Manager must operate with a high degree of executive presence while maintaining a culture of transparency. This role requires an individual who thrives in a high-touch environment and possesses excellent organization and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & C-Suite Engagement
- Serve as the primary strategic partner to the Chief of Staff; provide end-to-end advisory and logistical leadership for all high-visibility leadership events.
- Lead the planning and onsite execution of marquee programs, ensuring a "white-glove" experience for the C-Suite and Boston-based corporate staff.
- Develop and manage high-impact PowerPoint presentations for leadership briefings, ensuring all event-related content is visually professional and strategically aligned
Operational Excellence & Independence
- Lead event planner for large scale Boston-based events
- Independently drive the full lifecycle of assigned meetings, from initial site selection and contract negotiation to budget management and post-event reconciliation and assessment.
- Adhere to an “Open-Loop” and transparent communication policy and partner with the Associate Director to ensure visibility.
- Participate in regular strategy syncs including one-on-ones with senior department leadership, to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Lead and manage planning sessions with stakeholders; provide structured agendas, concise post-meeting notes, and clear and timely action items to the Associate Director and relevant partners.
- Ensure Accountability on all project deliverables; monitor timelines and follow up with internal/external partners to prevent bottlenecks.
Collaborative Integration
- Utilize shared systems (SharePoint, OneDrive) to maintain real-time, accessible documentation.
- Actively share resources, vendor insights, and project updates with the wider team and cross-functional partners to ensure departmental knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a high-frequency communication loop with the Associate Director; provide regular, transparent updates on project status and budgets.
Education and Required Skills
- 5-7+ years of progressive industry experience in corporate meetings and events, with a required background in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- 5+ years of direct experience managing events for C-Suite executives and senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Communications, or Hospitality preferred).Certifications including CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or CMM (Certification in Meeting Management) is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical compliance (e.g.,
- PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act) as it pertains to internal and leadership meetings.
- Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint (for executive storytelling), Excel (for complex budget tracking and data analysis), and Teams/SharePoint for seamless remote collaboration. This position would be the lead on department management tools, i.e. Jira for project tracking and updates.
- Exceptional ability to independently drive agendas, document post-meeting notes and follow up on action items.
- Deep experience managing high-touch VIP management, site selection, and contract negotiation for premium-tier events.
- A demonstrated commitment to working within a team framework and sharing information freely to avoid organizational silos.
- This is a hands-on, high-accountability individual contributor role. Ideal candidates will embody a “player-coach” mentality and be willing to roll up their sleeves to manage logistical details-from high level strategic planning with the Chief of Staff to the granular execution of onsite operations.
Travel and Location
- Boston based, reporting to the Seaport office at least 3 days per week and attend events including potential evening events as needed
- Travel estimated at 30% or more, domestic

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $135,000-$155,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
