Role Summary
The Sr. Manager, US Data Strategy, is responsible for managing the Servier U.S. enterprise data strategy implementation, data assessment and acquisition, inventory, and data governance processes. The scope of this position includes implementing, actioning, and maintaining the enterprise data strategy, and ensuring that the organization's data is of high quality, aligned to business objectives, and complete. Position reports into Director of Enterprise Data Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As a key member of the Enterprise Data Strategy team, manage the execution of the enterprise data strategy road map to ensure effective delivery of enterprise-level data services.
- Assist or lead evaluation, selection, implementation of key data sources to benefit the enterprise. Ensure timely and transparent communication of data sources, sample outputs to enhance effectiveness of data use in service of improved business performance.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, planning, and implementing high-value, high-impact data investment projects while ensuring compliance with enterprise data architecture and governance standards.
- Ensure the effective delivery and management of the Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) strategy, standards, and practices by developing and implementing SOP’s to support and achieve the enterprise strategic objectives.
- Drive forward and gain buy-in for the enterprise data strategy, maximizing the benefits gained for our stakeholders.
- Provide training, guidance, and direction cross-functionally on data inventory, policies, acquisition, and operational matters relating to data including deliverable set-up and governance.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in enterprise data usage, e.g., by balancing data protection and data usage.
- Collaborate with key business areas, including, IT, Commercial, Market Access, Medical, and Compliance, to maximize cross-functional data value while minimizing all compliance risks.
- Assist in the implementation of the organizational data strategy, including: awareness initiatives, education and ongoing data inventory management.
- Proactively identifies, follows up, and responds to customer’s needs and areas of concern, taking appropriate action to quickly resolve issues.
Education and Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Business Administration, Data, Life Sciences, or a related field or on-job experience is required.
- Minimum 5+ years professional experience is required. Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred, ideally within the oncology or rare disease space.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of pharmaceutical commercial business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision-making, growth, and decline is highly preferred.
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, make connections for greater understanding, and draw insights from data.
- Well-versed with Pharmaceutical healthcare datasets is highly preferred.
- Experience in Customer Master and data analysis, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry focused on Healthcare Professional and Organization customer data (Veeva HCP/ HCO data).
- Experience in developing interpersonal relationships, influencing, and gaining consensus across multiple functions (high EQ)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and transition between assignments quickly.
- Self-motivated, a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to manage simultaneous projects, prioritizing based on business criticality/needs, in a demanding environment.
- Proficiency in Veeva, Power BI, and MS Office.
Travel and Location:
- Boston-area onsite, 2-3 days in the office preferred.
- Travel ~10% of the time for meetings/workshops, external conferences, and internal meetings/off-sites.
