Role Summary

The Senior Manager, US Forecasting and Integrated Insights will lead the development and updating of robust, data-driven forecasts for the US Oncology portfolio.

This role acts as a strategic storyteller, integrating complex inputs across functions to develop a cohesive narrative regarding brand performance and therapeutic area dynamics. The Senior Manager will proactively identify data gaps and propose evidence-based hypotheses to cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making. This role reports directly to the Director of Forecasting.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Integrated Storytelling & Insight Synthesis
    • Synthesize diverse data streams (market research, clinical data, and financial trends) to develop and communicate a cohesive "source of truth" story for the brand and Oncology therapeutic area.
    • Identify and address data gaps by proposing strategic hypotheses to cross-functional teams (listed below) to stress-test commercial strategies and clinical outlooks.
  • Forecast Modeling & Data Integration
    • Design, update, and maintain sophisticated forecast models using Excel/VBA to support long-range planning and quarterly updates for the Oncology franchise.
    • Utilize Claims Data (e.g., patient longitudinal data, IQVIA, Symphony) to identify market trends, treatment patterns, and patient flows.
    • Develop and manage automated dashboards in PowerBI to communicate key performance indicators and forecast narratives to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Engage closely with Medical Affairs to incorporate clinical assumptions and with Commercial teams (Sales/Marketing) to align on market share and competitive dynamics.
    • Work cross-functionally to communicate forecasts for various needs such as pricing committees, global strategic reviews, US business performance, and supply planning.
  • Other duties as required or directed by the Manager or Functional Management.

 

Job Description

Candidate Profile

Education and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a quantitative field (Statistics, Finance); graduate degree (MBA or Advanced Degree) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in statistics, forecasting, analytics, or consulting in the biopharmaceutical industry; extensive experience working in, quantifying and forecast building in the US Oncology market.
  • Hard Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/VBA (complex financial modeling) and PowerBI (data visualization/storytelling). Deep experience with Claims Data (IQVIA, Symphony, or similar)
  • Demonstrated understanding of key steps in the forecasting process: assumption setting, model design, appropriate use of statistics, and analytical applications.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and work independently while integrating complex inputs across a matrix environment.

Travel and Location

  • Boston based candidates preferred, but remote eligible
  • Able to travel for meetings, market research, and conferences, as required by position up to 10%

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $155-$177. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
