Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Patient Marketing plays a key role in developing and executing patient-focused marketing initiatives across our oncology portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Patient Marketing, this role will manage day-to-day execution of patient and caregiver engagement programs, ensuring that campaigns are impactful, innovative, and fully compliant. The ideal candidate brings strong patient marketing expertise, patient-centric thinking, and proven ability to manage complex projects across cross-functional teams and agency partners. This individual will support both branded and unbranded efforts designed to educate, engage, and empower patients and caregivers across the oncology journey.
This role reports directly into the Director of Patient Marketing, which is part of the marketing organization. The marketing organization reports directly into the Head of Commercial. The Sr. Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with cross functional partners—including Solid Tumor & Hematology Brand Marketing teams, Advocacy teams, Insights & Analytics, IT, Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs), Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and external partners—and will play a critical role in the execution of product brand strategy and priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient/Caregiver Campaign Execution
- Own patient marketing strategy for oncology indication(s) — translate brand and portfolio strategy into an integrated patient/DTC strategy, priorities, and annual tactical plan.
- Lead patient acquisition strategy — identify opportunities to reach, educate, and motivate appropriate patients across the journey, from awareness through diagnosis and treatment consideration.
- Develop patient-facing campaigns and content — lead DTC campaigns, digital discussion guides, educational materials, and other patient-facing assets, ensuring a compelling and consistent patient narrative.
- Translate patient insights into action — leverage market research, behavioral/data insights, journey mapping, and performance data to identify unmet needs and optimize strategy and execution.
- Serve as the patient marketing point person for the indication/brand — connect Patient Marketing with Brand Marketing, Patient Affairs, Communications, Medical, Legal/Regulatory/Compliance, and other partners.
- Orchestrate execution across Patient Marketing capabilities — partner closely with the Digital/CRM Lead on journeys, channels and CRM activation and the Peer-to-Peer Lead on ambassador, mentorship and retention opportunities.
- Drive agency and tactical execution — lead agency partners, creative development, timelines, budgets, MLR review, and delivery of high-quality work.
- Measure and optimize impact — establish KPIs, monitor campaign and acquisition performance, and continuously optimize based on data and learning.
- Protect indication-level differentiation while building for scale — ensure the unique needs and positioning of each indication are reflected while leveraging common platforms, processes and assets across the portfolio.
- Champion the patient perspective — ensure patient needs, barriers and experiences are represented in commercial decision-making and that all engagement is compliant, appropriate and patient-centered.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with brand marketing, medical affairs, compliance, and patient advocacy colleagues to deliver high-quality programs.
- Navigate medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes to ensure content and campaigns are brought to market efficiently and compliantly.
- Act as the digital marketing lead in cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with broader brand objectives.
Vendor Management
- Manage external vendors, prioritizing projects and maintaining strong budget governance.
- Partner with creative agencies to improve efficiency and develop scalable programs.
- Apply strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Job Description
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
· Education
o Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.
o MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· Experience
o 6–8 years of progressive marketing experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
o Minimum 3 years in digital or patient marketing, preferably in oncology or specialty care.
o Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
o Familiarity with digital marketing strategies (web, CRM, SEO/SEM, social media).
o Strong knowledge of with regulatory/legal (MLR) processes in healthcare marketing.
· Skills & Attributes
o Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Analytical and detail-oriented, with experience using data to guide decisions.
o Creative problem solver with passion for patient engagement and innovation.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Ability to travel up to 30%.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $147-$168k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
