Role Summary

 

The HR Manager will play a strategic supporting role in the development and execution of HR initiatives, working closely with HRBPs to align people and organizational strategies with business objectives. This role is ideal for a self-starter and fast learner who is eager to contribute to a strategic HR function in a growing company while also managing day-to-day HR responsibilities. The Sr. HR Manager will be instrumental in providing hands-on support in Manager & Employee relations, talent management, and organizational effectiveness while contributing to continuous improvement to the HR function overall.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Support HR Business Partnership:

 

  • Work closely with the HRBPs, to execute HR strategies that drive business results and align with long-term goals.
  • Provide day-to-day support in managing employee relations & supporting HR strategy including but not limited to; performance management, talent reviews, and organizational design projects.
  • Assist in developing HR solutions tailored to the needs of the business, ensuring alignment with overall organizational strategy.

 

Talent & Organizational Support:

 

  • Support the execution of the performance management, Yearly Development Review (YDR), compensation review, & talent review processes, working closely with the HRBP to ensure consistency and alignment with business priorities.
  • Assist in coordinating succession planning and leadership development initiatives, ensuring high-potential talent is identified and nurtured.
  • Provide support in recruitment efforts and talent acquisition, partnering with Talent Acquisition.

 

Employee Relations & Culture:

 

  • Help manage employee relations issues, providing support to the HRBPs in resolving conflicts and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, encouraging a focus on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
  • Play a key role in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives in alignment with the company’s values and goals.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

 

  • Build strong relationships across the HR function, including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, & HR Operations to ensure effective delivery of HR initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and HR functions, ensuring business needs are communicated and proactively addresse

 

Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis:

  • Support the HRBPs in utilizing HR data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, drive accountability, and track progress on key HR initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the HR function.

 

Education and Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, including HR Business Partner or generalist roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related degree required
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to support HR strategies and provide hands-on assistance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative in both day-to-day responsibilities and larger strategic projects.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes, including talent management, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

 

Other Relevant Information:

  • Boston-area onsite, 2-3 days in the office
  • Travel ~5% of the time for meetings/workshops with Global (Paris), external conferences, and internal meetings/off-sites
