Role Summary
The Director, US Ethics & Compliance, will help to ensure Servier Pharmaceuticals fosters a robust culture of ethics and compliance by leading key operational elements of the Ethics & Compliance program, including monitoring, transparency reporting, data analytics, and third-party risk management. The position will report directly to the Head of US Ethics & Compliance and will be an integral player on the Ethics & Compliance team. It will collaborate directly with functional teams across Servier, such as Commercial, Medical, the Patient Office, and R&D, to ensure true partnership and understanding of Ethics & Compliance operational programs in pursuit of the company’s goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enhance and execute the healthcare compliance monitoring, auditing, and data analytics program by developing program strategy, partnering with diverse stakeholder groups and Ethics & Compliance colleagues on execution, gathering and analyzing findings, and providing information, insights, and reports in a timely and useful manner
- Lead US federal and local aggregate spend transparency reporting by overseeing data collection, collaborating with internal and external experts to develop improved data collection and reporting systems, and identifying trends and insights from collected data
- Lead compliance with state reporting requirements
- Provide primary oversight for the US third party compliance due diligence program
- Support enterprise risk management (ERM) operations
- As requested, support investigations into allegations of non-compliance and/or ethical policy deviations and advise on appropriate corrective action plans
- Participate on standing or ad hoc committees to provide compliance input and expertise
- Cross-train on areas/activities led by other Ethics & Compliance team colleagues to optimize business continuity and work/life balance
Education and Required Skills
- 7+ years of work experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical healthcare compliance
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with healthcare compliance monitoring, auditing, data analytics, and US transparency reporting
- Experience with the design and implementation of efficient and effective healthcare compliance processes, systems, and workflows
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate effectively in a dynamic and matrixed organization
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written business communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and objectives, complete complex tasks under minimal supervision or guidance, and exercise discretion and confidentiality in a consistent and professional manner
Travel and Location
- Boston-area based, hybrid role with a minimum of 2-3 days in the Boston office
- Up to 10% travel
