Role Summary
The Director, Talent Acquisition will lead hiring strategies and execution for our US-based businesses across the enterprise, owning recruitment end-to-end for open and upcoming positions to achieve our business strategy. The company's oncology and neurology portfolio of innovative medicines is designed to bring more life-saving treatments to a greater number of patients and in a variety of tumor types. You will play a critical role in ensuring our businesses have the right talent to meet these goals.
In this role, the ideal candidate will serve as a Strategic Partner and Trusted Advisor to each of our functions and leadership teams, providing executive-level stakeholder management and driving external candidate market engagement through a variety of outreach tactics while building diverse and qualified talent pools to meet the current and future people strategies of the organization. You will lead and develop a team of two recruiters, with responsibility for building out and scaling the Talent Acquisition function to support the organization's workforce goals through strategic planning, process optimization, and technology improvement initiatives. This position will report to the Senior Director/Head of US Talent Acquisition.
Primary Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Function Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two recruiters, fostering a high-performance culture and professional growth
- Build out the Talent Acquisition function to scale with organizational growth, including workforce planning, headcount justification, and team structure optimization
- Establish team goals, metrics, and accountability frameworks to drive performance and continuous improvement
- Serve as a coach and escalation point for complex searches and stakeholder challenges
Strategic Talent Acquisition
- Own and drive end-to-end recruitment strategy, managing executive-level stakeholders to meet business talent goals
- Design and execute search strategies for existing and anticipated candidate profiles across the organization, including executive and senior leadership positions
- Partner directly with senior leadership on specific executive-level searches, serving as a strategic partner for critical roles
- Gather and integrate labor market data into people planning and hiring processes including: salary trends, competitor intelligence, geographic insights, and other relevant analysis to inform decision-making
Employment Brand & Candidate Engagement
- Serve as a senior Brand Ambassador to engage the external labor market for open positions and pipeline efforts through recruitment marketing, conference/event strategy, and targeted outreach initiatives
- Build and sustain talent communities in relevant skill and competency areas for current and future growth needs
- Drive employment brand strategy in partnership with our Associate Director of Sourcing and Operations to increase brand awareness among prospective talent
Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
- Lead strategic project work for the Talent Acquisition function, focusing on technology implementation, process optimization, and scalability
- Identify opportunities for improvement; design and implement changes that enhance team capabilities and organizational hiring outcomes
- Manage and optimize candidate-driven channels including referral networks, LinkedIn, employment marketing efforts, and other sourcing platforms
- Deliver an exceptional candidate and internal stakeholder experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure pipeline and employment brand activities align with broader people strategies
Education and Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10+ years recruitment/sourcing or equivalent professional experience required
- 5+ years in a senior recruitment role with demonstrated success in talent sourcing and full-cycle recruiting
- 2+ years of direct people management experience, with a track record of developing talent and building teams
- Project leadership and process improvement experience required
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience highly preferred
- Executive presence with strong communication and influencing skills with senior and executive leadership
- Experience managing prospective candidates in an ATS/CRM
- Agile mindset with the ability to pivot quickly as business needs change
- Demonstrated ability to work with autonomy, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver quality outcomes
- Experience effectively collaborating and influencing across diverse teams including internal US and Global stakeholders, and external partners
Travel and Location
- Based in Boston; remote-hybrid position
- ~10% travel will be required

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $194,000 - $234,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
