Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Operations Excellence lead to join our Procurement and Strategic Sourcing team.  Reporting to the U.S. Head of Procurement, this role will contribute to our company’s mission in two major categories:

Procurement Operations Excellence:  The role will be responsible for utilizing current technology and talent capabilities to drive continuous improvement in procurement process and controls and design the future operating model for U.S., based on the group level operating model with allowance to specific local requirements.

Digitalization and Systems Implementation: The role will be responsible for representing Procurement in multiple Source-to-Settle systems including Contracts Lifecycle Management (Sirion Labs), ERP (SAP) and Procure-to-Pay (Coupa). Success in this role includes project management of the procurement component(s) for each full cycle implementation. This includes understanding existing infrastructure, alignment to future state with Servier Headquarters, identification of gaps and effective communication and collaboration between all parties with an emphasis on U.S. Sourcing and Procurement Operations teams for a seamless transition to new systems and tools. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Subject matter expert on best practices for U.S. procurement policies, tools, and standard operating procedures, internal controls and audit
  • Ensure proper reporting metrics are established that effectively measure performance, track initiatives and deliver contracts on time; analyze metrics and trends to identify root causes and drive corrective actions
  • Responsible for the development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s P2P policies and procedures; continuously improving processes and procedures to deliver operational excellence
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and content development of the Procurement SharePoint site, including form tracking and initiative management
  • Develop and oversee a procurement training program for existing and new employees
  • Serve as the U.S. SME for all Procurement systems’ design, gap analysis and function across all Source-to-Settle initiatives
  • Champion, advocate, and ensure all systems are compliant with U.S. internal policies and internal and external auditing requirements
  • Understand the context and challenges of the local market to influence the global roadmaps and change strategies
  • Analyze, summarize and/or review system and process gaps; report findings, interpret results and/or make recommendations to Procurement leadership
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project initiatives are available to deploy and complete on time
  • Partner with local and global stakeholders and partners to ensure processes and systems are executed effectively and efficiently
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with supplier programs and digital transformation solutions
  • Analyze and identify the linkages, dependencies and interactions between the component parts of an entire system
  • Address conflicts or issues and engage in difficult conversations with team members and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate

 

Education and Required Skills

  • BS degree, 7-10+ years of Procurement Operations systems and implementation experience in ERP Systems (such as SAP, Oracle), Coupa and Contracts Lifecycle Management systems (such as Sirion Labs) including operating model design, gap analysis, process review and improvement, technology implementation along with optimizing activities
  • Deep understanding of Strategic Sourcing, Source-to-Settle (S2S), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Digital Procurement. Procurement knowledge should include direct spend management and/or indirect spend management, category management, supplier management, and demand management. S2S knowledge should include operating model design, process review and improvement, implementing S2S technology along with optimizing activities (developing catalogs, establishing buying channels, enabling suppliers, etc.)
  • Strong program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a structured way to ensure deliverables are met on time
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills in stakeholder interactions to ensure exceptional and consistent service
  • Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle time efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail with dedication to accuracy, quality, and integrity
  • Strong ethical nature and able to foster an environment of governance
  • Ability to provide and receive candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner, and keep leadership informed of progress and issues
  • Communicate compelling value propositions (written and verbal)

 

Travel and Location

  • Hybrid role with 3 days a week in office (Boston Seaport District)
  • Expected Travel: 0-10%
