Role Summary

The Director, HEOR/RWE Neurology Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing integrated HEOR and Real-World Evidence strategies across Servier's neurology portfolio, including marketed products and pipeline assets in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases, with an initial focus on Becker Muscular Dystrophy (BMD), Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), and emerging neurology pipeline programs.

 

This leader will play a critical role in shaping evidence strategies from early development through launch and lifecycle management, ensuring robust demonstration of clinical, economic, and humanistic value to support regulatory, payer, provider, patient, and policy decision-making.

 

Working closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, and Global teams, this position will identify evidence gaps and design comprehensive HEOR/RWE programs to support launch readiness, reimbursement, patient access, and long-term value optimization.

 

The individual will lead development of strategic evidence packages including burden-of-illness studies, natural history studies, comparative effectiveness research, economic models, payer value propositions, AMCP dossiers, value decks, publication plans, and evidence supporting innovative reimbursement and value-based contracting strategies. The role will also serve as a key strategic partner in launch planning and execution for pipeline neurology assets.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Oversight
    • Lead development and execution of HEOR/RWE strategies for marketed and pipeline neurology assets across all stages of development and commercialization.
    • Serve as the HEOR/RWE strategic lead for BMD, DMD, and broader neurology franchise programs.
    • Develop integrated evidence generation plans aligned with clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory, market access, and commercial objectives.
    • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure evidence plans support product differentiation, reimbursement, launch readiness, and patient access.
  • Launch Readiness and Pipeline Leadership
    • Lead HEOR and RWE strategy development for pipeline assets from Phase II through launch and post-launch evidence generation.
    • Develop launch evidence plans, payer evidence strategies, and value communication tools necessary to support market access and successful commercialization.
    • Collaborate with asset teams to identify and close evidence gaps that may impact pricing, reimbursement, payer coverage, and market uptake.
    • Support launch excellence initiatives through strategic planning and evidence generation milestones.
    • Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access and Commercial teams to develop differentiated value narratives for neurology therapies.
  • External Engagement & Scientific Collaboration
    • Establish and maintain high-impact collaborations with external stakeholders, such as clinical experts, healthcare providers, academic institutions, payers, and patient advocacy organizations.
    • Represent the company as a scientific leader in relevant scientific meetings, advisory boards, and external partnerships related to RWE and HEOR initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
    • Provide mentorship, scientific leadership, and performance management to 1–2 direct reports and/or external contractors.
    • Promote continuous learning by delivering HEOR/RWE training and capability-building programs to cross-functional teams across global and regional functions.
    • Partner with the Head of HEOR/RWE to develop and scale innovative, technology-enabled approaches to evidence generation and visualization.
  • Communication & Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Drive effective communication and dissemination of HEOR/RWE strategies, results, and implications to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, and Market Access teams.
    • Translate complex scientific and economic findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead annual planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for HEOR/RWE activities in alignment with solid tumor portfolio priorities.
    • Manage external vendors, consultants, and contract research organizations to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of HEOR/RWE projects.
    • Oversee compliance with corporate policies, SOPs, legal and regulatory requirements, and relevant external guidelines.
    • Ensure timely measurement and communication of the external and internal impact of HEOR evidence.

Education and Required Skills

  • An advanced degree (PhD, MS, MD) in Health Outcomes, Pharmacoeconomics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field is required, with significant and relevant experience in neurology.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HEOR or RWE within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting, with demonstrated leadership in HEOR/RWE strategy development and execution across multiple phases of drug development and commercialization.
  • Required experience leading HEOR/RWE strategy for pipeline assets and at least one major product launch
  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to evolving internal priorities and expertly navigate the external policy, payer, and regulatory environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. regulatory framework and payer landscape, with expertise in designing and implementing HEOR/RWE strategies to meet payer and regulatory requirements.
  • Passion for driving innovative, high-impact evidence generation and communication to demonstrate product value, influence clinical practice, and support patient access.
  • Experience managing teams, demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Strong project management capabilities and executive presence, with proven ability to negotiate, build consensus, and align diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced technical expertise in HEOR/RWE study design and execution, coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific data to varied audiences.
  • Experience in people management and development

 

Travel and Location

  • Boston Based Hybrid role 2-3 days in office
  • 20-25% Travel

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $167k - $191k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
