Associate Manager, Ethics and Compliance

Role Summary

 

The Associate Manager, US Ethics & Compliance, will help to ensure Servier fosters a robust culture of ethics and compliance by supporting key operational elements of the Ethics & Compliance program, including identification and implementation of monitoring activities, use and analysis of monitoring results, operation of the Company’s Transparency reporting program, investigations into possible policy violations, and oversight of policy and training systems. The position will report to the Director, US Ethics & Compliance and will be an integral player on the Ethics & Compliance program operations team. It will collaborate directly with functional teams across Servier, such as Commercial, Finance, IT, Medical, the Patient Office, and R&D, to ensure true partnership and understanding of Ethics & Compliance operations in pursuit of the company’s goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with federal and state reporting requirements, including serving as primary point of contact for US Sunshine data collection and vendor data submission, remediating transparency data, and transforming incoming transparency data into acceptable system formats
  • Contribute to ongoing monitoring program, including partnering with business and with monitoring vendor, planning and scheduling of monitoring events, review and analysis of monitoring results, and compilation of risk assessment results to develop annual monitoring plan
  • Manage third party compliance due diligence system and ensure proper training of stakeholders
  • Oversee policy and training systems in collaboration with IT, HR, and other relevant functions.
  • Manage conflict of interest reporting system and process
  • Provide Ethics & Compliance input into exhibit and sponsorship review process
  • As requested, support investigations into allegations of non-compliance and/or ethical policy deviations and development of appropriate corrective action plans
  • Assist with management and implementation of system and process enhancements to increase Ethics & Compliance program efficiencies and integrations
  • Cross-train on areas/activities led by other Ethics & Compliance team colleagues to optimize business continuity and work/life balance

Education and Required Skills

  • 3+ years of work experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry
  • Relevant work experience in pharmaceutical healthcare compliance preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate effectively in a dynamic and matrixed organization
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written business communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and objectives, complete complex tasks under minimal supervision or guidance, and exercise discretion and confidentiality in a consistent and professional manner

Travel and Location

  • Boston-area based, hybrid role with a minimum of 2-3 days in the Boston office
  • Minimal travel
