Role Summary
The Associate Director, US Advanced Analytics Lead– Hematology/Oncology reports into Director of US Enterprise Advanced Analytics and Data Science within the US CSDO department that oversees corporate and pipeline strategy, business development, business insights, forecasting and shared business and sales operations among other responsibilities. Supporting the hematology franchises, the Associate Director, [Heme/Onc] US Advanced Analytics lead will play a critical role in developing analytics to enable data driven decision making within the Hematology Oncology BU (supporting Tibsovo AML/ MDS, Oncaspar, and Asparlas) and through ownership of Hematology analytical capabilities, synthesizing analysis output into persuasive commercial leadership presentations, and acting in partnership with commercial functions for effective decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing:
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Hematology Marketing team by leveraging data, metrics, KPIs, models, and analytics to identify opportunities and challenges that support the growth of the Hematology portfolio.
- Lead the semi-annual Hematology marketing mix process by gathering data, facilitating stakeholder and leadership discussions, and reviewing model inputs and outputs for statistical accuracy and brand relevance.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop indication-specific target lists to identify and engage relevant customers through NPP channels.
Leadership:
- Develop root-cause analyses, data insights, and metrics to address ad hoc leadership questions, providing clear recommendations and solutions to emerging market or brand challenges.
- Recommend strategic analytical approaches that enable integrated, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
HEOR:
- Collaborate with Hematology HEOR and Medical teams to align on patient-identification criteria using claims, laboratory, and/or EHR data.
- Develop, standardize, and document analytics business rules to generate key brand and market insights, including Market Share, DOT, LOT, and SOB.
Sales/ Sales Ops:
- Lead cross functional targeting initiatives by coordinating meetings, preparing supporting materials, and recommending relevant data sources (Specialty Pharmacy, Claims, Sales CRM inputs, and PMR segments) to identify customer target segments for field execution and NPP marketing that align with brand strategic imperatives
- Partner with Sales Operations to define and deliver key targeting metrics in Veeva CRM, summarize QoQ targeting changes, and recommend opportunities for ongoing process improvement.
Forecasting:
- Refresh quarterly forecasting data inputs leveraged for short and long range forecast updates.
Advanced Analytics:
- Serve as a collaborative team partner, working closely with Advanced Analytics colleagues on projects that enhance enterprise data capabilities in AI and ML.

Candidate Profile
Education and Required Skills and Experience
- BS/BA degree in quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, statistics epidemiology, health economics, engineering, business analytics, computer science, or related field and 7+ years of hands on experience developing analytical techniques to address business questions; relevant advanced degree preferred
- Advanced technical skills in SQL, R, or Python required and ability to design, develop, and execute analyses to answer complex business questions and monitor brand performance and market dynamicsAbility to engage with commercial and medical leadership stakeholders to translate business problems into analytics solutions and create and deliver analytical presentations
- Experience with key pharmaceutical data sources and analytics platforms:
- National- level sales/ demand data (e.g. IQVIA NPA & NSP)
- Longitudinal HCP & patient level claims (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, Veeva Compass, PurpleLabs, MMIT)
- Tokenized RWE data sources (lab data, genomic data, EHR, and EMR data)
- Specialty pharmacy, patient services, and market access data( MMIT, DRG/ Fingertip Formulary Data, GPO dispensing data, Hub data, copay, evoucher data, etc.)
- Marketing engagement data (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
- CRM Systems (Veeva, Salesforce, etc.)
- Data management & Analysis platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, etc.)
- Data Visualization/ business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBi, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire, Microstragies, etc.)
- MS Office applications (particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Teams, Sharepoint)
- Experience in applying AI/ Machine learning/ data science methodologies to address complex quantitative questions and derive actionable insights
- Experience within the oncology therapeutic area or rare disease preferred
- Experience building supervised and unsupervised learning models, A/ B testing, ANCOVA model, time series forecasting, marketing mix model, portfolio optimizations, clustering, segmentation, patient finding, referral network analytics, and predictive analytics
- Demonstrated ability develop root cause analysis using analytical techniques to address ad hoc business questions
- Ability to integrate and synthesize both primary and secondary information to create fact-based cohesive stories, insights, and actionable and persuasive recommendations
- Excellent project management skills, able to deftly balance multiple priorities from project requirement gathering, kickoff, and delivery and ability to provide regular project status updates
- Ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and with a track record of delivering exceptional results
- Ability to think strategically, by applying relevant technical, data, and industry experience to drive business value and make informed business recommendations
- Forward-looking business acumen, with strategic understanding of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs
- Adept communication skills, including ability to summarize complex issues concisely, listen effectively to concerns and problems, and take stakeholder feedback and adjust approach or output
- Cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work with people at different levels from various parts of the organization
Travel and Location
- Boston based candidates preferred
- Able to travel up to 10% for meetings/workshops, external conferences, and internal meetings/off-sites, as required by position

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $160k-$190k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
