Role Summary
The Associate Director, HR Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing HRIS processes, data, systems, payroll, and the employee lifecycle. This role ensures the integrity of employee data, optimizes system and process efficiency, and supports employees throughout their employment journey. The Associate Director will address employee inquiries and contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements to scale the organization effectively. Additionally, this role will be responsible for reporting, analyzing, and summarizing employee data to provide actionable insights. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards & HR Operations, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with HR team members and work with external partners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the ADP HRIS and payroll modules, ensuring data integrity and accuracy at all times.
- Lead the implementation of efficient HR processes and workflows, supporting their design to enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze HRIS data and survey results, providing insights and identifying key trends to inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement people technology strategies in partnership with the Sr. Director, Total Rewards & HR Operations, aligning with business and talent goals.
- Oversee the ADP vendor relationship for HRIS and payroll services, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Supervise the HR Operations team, including the Payroll Manager and HR Operations Manager, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data and personnel files within the HRIS system, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Own the employee handbook and other people related operational policies.
- Oversee payroll submission and approval processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding programs, focusing on creating a positive and efficient experience for new hires and departing employees.
- Manage the employee onboarding experience, including onboarding structure and design.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including EEOC, Worker’s Compensation audits, and other people-related filings and reporting.
Education and Required Skills
- Working knowledge of ADP and SAP HRIS systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of ADP payroll and benefits modules desired.
- Excellent time management and deadline consciousness.
- High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to get along well with diverse personalities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable clear and concise communication to all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8-10 years HR related experience preferred.
Travel and Location
- Located in Boston area, reporting to Seaport office 2-3 days per week
