Role Summary

The Associate Director, HEOR/RWE, Tovorafenib, is a key member of the HEOR and Scientific Communication team within the US Medical Affairs organization. This individual will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of evidence generation initiatives for Tovorafenib, specifically designed to address medical, access, and other identified value gaps. A key focus will be leading evidence strategies to drive leadership in the Relapsed/Refractory (R/R) setting while spearheading the health economics, real-world evidence, and patient-reported outcomes strategies to support the upcoming First-Line (1L) launch. This individual will partner closely with US Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, Clinical Development, and Translational Science, as well as Global cross-functional and alliance partners (e.g., Ipsen), to ensure the value of Tovorafenib is fully demonstrated and communicated through robust evidence initiatives that resonate with patients, providers, and payers.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Associate Director

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning:
    • Co-create and lead the comprehensive evidence strategy (e.g., economic, comparative effectiveness) and operational plans for Tovorafenib, focusing on life-cycle management in R/R and preparing the value proposition for the 1L market entry.
    • Provide scientific support to facilitate market access and payer negotiations for pipeline and on-market assets.
    • Collaborate with clinical development teams to design and incorporate appropriate patient-reported outcomes (PRO) measures within clinical trials, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for engagements with regulatory and payer bodies.
    • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the industry's regulatory, payer, and policy landscape and its potential impact on evidence generation.
    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning, integrity, and innovation within the Value, Evidence and Communication function.
  • Evidence Generation and Impact Measurement:
    • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of RWE studies (e.g., database analysis, chart reviews, prospective registries) to characterize unmet needs and practice patterns in 1L and R/R settings to continue driving leadership.
    • Deliver U.S. economic models and AMCP dossiers to optimize patient access and reimbursement ahead of the 1L Tovorafenib launch.
    • Ensure all research initiatives strictly adhere to internal study governance processes for evidence generation projects, ensuring high ethical and scientific standards. This includes obtaining necessary internal approvals and ensuring cross-functional alignment throughout study execution.
    • Work with external vendors and internal teams to design and execute oncology evidence projects, ensuring ethical and scientific standards are appropriately met.
    • Track and communicate project progress, manage budgets, and oversee external vendors/CROs to ensure timely and quality delivery.
    • Ensure timely measurement and communication of the external and internal impact of evidence
    • In collaboration with the Evidence Communication team, translate research outputs into practical tools and resources (e.g., value decks, proactive or reactive field materials) that equip field medical and access teams to communicate Tovorafenib's value effectively to healthcare decision-makers.
  • Alliance Management & Global Collaboration:
    • Serve as a key Evidence Generation point of contact for the Ipsen alliance, ensuring strategic alignment on evidence generation activities for Tovorafenib.
    • Coordinate with Servier Global counterparts to ensure US evidence generation strategies complement and support global value narratives.
    • Manage the collaborative review of evidence generation plans within the joint alliance framework to ensure consistency in the Tovorafenib global value story
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Lead communication with Medical Affairs and other functional leadership on planned and ongoing research initiatives, key findings, and their internal and external impact.
    • Drive pull-through and communication of evidence strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional asset and governance teams, healthcare decision-makers, payers, patient advocacy groups, and clinical practitioners

Education and Required Skills: Associate Director

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS) in Health Outcomes, Pharmacoeconomics, Epidemiology, or a related field, with relevant experience in oncology.
  • 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, specifically within HEOR, RWE, Medical Evidence Generation, with proven experience in evidence strategy development and execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. regulatory framework and payer landscape, with experience designing and implementing evidence strategies to meet payer and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, ensuring adherence to internal study governance and scientific standards.
  • Effective in communicating research findings and able to translate these into actionable insights and value narratives for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced technical expertise in outcomes research, economic modelling, and PRO research, coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific data to varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, alliance partnerships (e.g., Ipsen), and cross-functional initiatives with strategic agility and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a track record of working across teams, functions, and geographies to drive functional excellence.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to lead through influence, resolve challenges, and build consensus in a matrixed organization

 

Travel and Location

  • Boston Based, hybrid role reporting to the Seaport office 2-3x per week
  • 15-20% Travel

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $184,000 - $218,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
