Role Summary

 

The Associate Director, US Corporate Strategy reports directly to the Head of US Corporate Strategy as a critical member of the CSDO (Corporate Strategy, Development & Operations) team. This person will serve as the strategic partner for our haematological cancer portfolio while designing and executing cross-functional initiatives that are critical to the company’s success. 

 

The Associate Director, US Corporate Strategy will be responsible for owning and supporting major projects and workstreams that are a priority our haematological cancer portfolio or Servier Pharmaceuticals overall. Work includes problem solving, leadership, developing subject matter expertise, and addressing critical business challenges. The Associate Director works as part of a team but is also expected to lead cross-functional teams such as commercial, insight and analytics, medical, finance, and patient office to prepare and deliver compelling executive presentations and supporting analyses for recommendations.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  1. Strategic Planning & Deliverables
  • Support management, creation, and coordination of the Servier Pharmaceuticals strategic planning cycle and deliverables.
  • Engage internal subject-matter-experts develop content for US and global strategic deliverables.
  • Take ownership of individual workstreams, especially those related to our haematological cancer portfolio, by leading framing, project planning, cross-functional engagement, final strategy and story development.
  • Support and help optimize strategic planning cycle/calendar
  1. Strategic Support of Financial Planning
  • Pressure test forecasts and financial plans to ensure alignment with US priorities, vision and goals.
  • Lead development of executive-level presentations that distil detailed and robust analysis into clear, actionable insights.
  • Generate opportunity assessments and business cases (e.g., ROI, NPV, breakeven analysis).
  1. Strategic Projects
  • Lead and support cross-functional strategic projects that are highest priority to the US Leadership Team.
  • Own strategic projects including scoping, framing, timelines, analysis, decision enablement and management of implementation.
  • Leverage market, industry, competitive, and internal data to generate insights, design and facilitate strategic workshops, and develop comprehensive recommendations with supporting rationale.
  • Identify, scope, and ideate on business transformation opportunities
  1. Support CSDO Team Success
  • Actively engage with CSDO colleagues to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively to communicate insights and mitigate risks associated with our haematological cancer portfolio.
  • Support team offsites, events, and the development and tracking of goals & budgets.
  • Be an active contributor to the collaborative and transparent team culture.

 

Education and Required Skills

 

  • Undergraduate degree with business and science focus, graduate degree (MBA, PhD) preferred
  • 7+ year of professional work experience, ideally in both strategy consulting and a strategic role in the life sciences industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with comfort preparing research and data analysis to support business recommendations
  • Experience leading without authority and gaining cross-functional alignment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills including to executive-level audiences
  • Professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of colleagues, including senior leaders
  • Understanding of oncology or rare disease markets, drug development, regulatory processes, and commercial and market access dynamics preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office tools – particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Outstanding track record of success in past professional and academic endeavours

 

 

Travel and Location

 

  • On-site in Boston Seaport office at least 3-5 times per week
  • Travel ~5-10% of the time for meetings/workshops with Global, external conferences, and internal meetings/off-sites
