Role Summary
The Associate Director, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement will lead internal communications and employee engagement programs that strengthen culture, drive alignment, and advance Servier’s business priorities, in alignment with enterprise communications strategy. This role will shape how employees experience Servier’s mission, strategy, values and growth by translating key business moments into clear, compelling communications and engagement forums that inform, inspire and connect colleagues across the organization.
This role will own Servier’s internal communications platforms and programs while co-building employee engagement strategy and programming in close partnership with Human Resources. The role will help define and drive a more intentional, enterprise-wide approach to employee engagement that builds culture, fosters connection and belonging, amplifies employee voice, and strengthens the overall employee experience.
The Associate Director will lead change management and transformation communications, developing strategies that help employees navigate organizational change, understand business decisions, and remain engaged during periods of growth and evolution. In addition, this role will elevate employer brand and internal cultural storytelling by bringing Servier’s purpose, science, values and people to life in authentic, meaningful ways.
As a member of the Corporate Affairs team, this Boston-based role will report to the Director of Enterprise Communications, manage team members, and partner with leaders across Corporate Affairs, Human Resources and the broader business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead execution and continued evolution of internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise communications priorities, business objectives and company values
- Own and optimize internal company-wide communications channel and platform strategy, ensuring they are informative, timely and engaging
- Develop and execute communications and engagement strategies that support organizational change, business transformation, growth, partnerships and acquisitions
- Partner with HR and business leaders to shape initiatives that reinforce culture, strengthen organizational alignment, and enhance the employee experience
- Build and lead employee engagement programs and campaigns that foster connection, recognition, inclusion and a strong sense of purpose across the organization
- Establish mechanisms to gather employee insights, feedback and sentiment, and use data and analytics to assess effectiveness, identify opportunities, and strengthen communications and engagement strategies over time
- Elevate employee voices and stories through internal and digital platforms in ways that reflect Servier’s culture, values and patient-centered mission
- Provide strategic communications counsel to leaders and support senior leadership messaging related to internal communications, employee engagement and key moments of change
- Shape and strengthen Servier’s employer brand through authentic storytelling that highlights culture, scientific progress, employee impact and the company’s unique purpose
- Oversee communications and engagement planning for employee and community engagement initiatives, culture-building efforts and other moments that bring Servier’s values to life
- Support internal communications tied to Servier’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and other cross-functional enterprise priorities
- Manage and develop team members, set priorities, provide coaching and ensuring high-quality execution across projects and programs
Job Description
Candidate Profile
Education and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 8+ years of internal or employee engagement experience or related field
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to distill complex topics and connect the dots across a matrixed, global environment
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide internal communications programs and employee engagement initiatives
- Strong experience partnering with Human Resources and business leaders to shape culture, employee engagement and organizational communications strategies
- Proven ability to support senior leaders and develop executive communications for high-visibility internal moments
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within companies operating across geographies and therapeutic areas
- Background in employee engagement, culture initiatives, organizational change and/or integration communications
- Experience establishing feedback loops, using employee insights and applying communications metrics to inform strategy and continuous improvement
- Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders with a track record of partnering cross-functionally with HR and other teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of quality, judgement and execution
- Prior people management experience, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing team members
Travel and Location
- Travel 10%
- Boston based hybrid position, requires in office presence 2-3 days a week

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $160-$190k. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
