Head Of Performance

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Steering Committee, the Head of Performance will drive high performance through Performance 360 (Quality, Cost, Safety, Delivery and Engagement) by leading and maintaining:

  • OPEX management system (processes, tools, capabilities) embedding  through all levels of the organization to drive daily continuous improvement.
  • Process optimizations
  • Site Digital Transformation roadmap & solutions
  • Project management (Site projects and project management office - PMO)
  • Site level Product Portfolio Management
  • While Leading cross-functional teams, and influencing at all organisational levels to develop the required mindsets  -motivating stakeholders and the organization to act with urgency.

 

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working in close collaboration with the General manager, drive the building of the OPEX management system, ensuring its consistency with the corporate & SPI strategic priorities & objectives
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to promote internal communication on the Project, Digital, Data and performance improvement plans
  • Ensure Performance 360 is embedded across the site (Quality, Cost Delivery, Safety & Engagement)
  • Embed Portfolio planning and management, program and project Management processes across the organisation to ensure that the right projects are being executed efficiently in line with strategic priorities.
  • Working with the senior team and key stakeholders develop and execute the Digital transformation roadmap in line with  corporate & SPI strategic priorities  
  • Develop Data Analytics capability on site to explore and analyse data to derive meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
  • Be the owner of KPIs and Operational Excellence onsite on site.
  • Be part of the TQM on site (through CAPA management, RCPS analysis and Risk Assessments as required)
  • As a Senior Leadership team member, contribute to the optimisation of the site
  • Maintain positive relationships within your department and all its internal and external partners
  • Compile budgetary requirements and maintain compliance to agreed budgets
  • Develop the expertise (methods, tools and mindsets) staff on site

The candidate must have a degree in an Engineering or scientific discipline and 1O+ years experience in project management or a business improvement program in a manufacturing environment.

A skilled OpEx practitioner and transformation leader, a cross-disciplinary thinker with a positive personality and an uncompromising drive to transform and improve operations.

Lean 6-Sigma experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to identify, develop & lead performance improvement programs.

Strong knowledge of all PMO (Portfolio planning and management, project management ) processes. 

Expertise in change management. 

 

The successful candidate must have strong analytical skills, the ability to identify, develop & lead performance improvement programs and a proven track record of multi-tasking and prioritizing successfully.

Good communication & people management skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels in the organisation, self motivation, and strong collaboration skills are essential.
