Business Excellence Director
About the Role
The Business Excellence Director will act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Leadership Team, supporting data-driven decision-making, digital & omnichannel transformation and helping shape the new engagement model across and outside the organization.
The role will drive Performance Effectiveness, Data & Business Intelligence, CRM excellence, customer engagement digital platforms, omnichannel orchestration, local analytics offer, forecasting management and continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth and organizational effectiveness.
The role will ensure the implementation of all Global initiatives with the Regional BEX director: implementation of the WO analytics offer, omnichannel orchestration and any other initiatives related to Data, Digital & AI transformation.
In addition, the role will provide leadership and governance to the local DDIS team, ensuring that data, information systems and digital business capabilities are aligned with affiliate priorities, operational excellence and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Business Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness and Business Intelligence initiatives across the organization.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the General Manager and Leadership Team by providing business insights, performance analysis and recommendations.
- Drive segmentation, targeting, territory design, incentive systems, field force productivity and commercial effectiveness priorities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting systems and KPI tracking mechanisms to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Lead market assessments, commercial diagnostics and business analytics activities to identify opportunities and performance gaps.
- Collaborate with regional and global Business Excellence teams to implement omnichannel, analytics and AI-enabled initiatives in alignment with corporate priorities.
- Ensure effective governance, utilization and continuous improvement of CRM and commercial business systems.
- Oversee customer engagement and communication platforms, CRM systems and other promotional & commercial business tools that support customer engagement, communication and promotion effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and governance to the local DDIS team, ensuring alignment and simplification between business priorities and digital, data and information systems capabilities, aligned with Global DDIS roadmap.
- Oversee governance, risk management, compliance, cybersecurity awareness and data protection practices in relation to DDIS operations.
- Drive continuous improvement, process excellence and best-practice sharing across promotion and operational processes.
- Lead, coach and develop the Business Excellence and DDIS teams, while building strong partnerships with local, regional and global stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Business Excellence, Commercial & Promotion Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Business Intelligence, Commercial Operations or Strategy.
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong background in analytics, CRM, reporting systems, performance management and commercial/promotion effectiveness.
- Experience managing customer engagement platforms, omnichannel orchestration, digital transformation initiatives and business excellence systems is an advantage
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable business insights and decision making.
- Must have exposure to AI-enabled business excellence practices and the ability to leverage emerging technologies to enhance business performance.
- Team player, excellent stakeholder management, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Life Sciences or a related discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
