Sales Director

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented and inspiring Sales Director to lead our sales organization in Türkiye.

 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for driving sales performance across the full product portfolio, leading Regional Managers, and ensuring excellence in field execution.The Sales Director will play a key role in translating business strategies into commercial success through strong leadership, data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and a forward-looking approach to digital and AI enabled opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Business Performance

• Lead sales performance across the full product portfolio and ensure achievement of business objectives.

• Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies and business plans.

• Identify growth opportunities by evaluating market dynamics, competitive trends and field insights.

• Represent the sales perspective in leadership discussions and contribute to company strategy development.

2. Sales Forecasting & Performance Management

• Contribute to sales forecasting processes in collaboration with Business Excellence (BEX) and relevant functions.

• Provide field insights and commercial input to support short-, mid- and long-term sales forecasts across the portfolio.

• Analyze sales performance and forecast deviations and support the definition of corrective actions.

• Support effective management of sales targets, performance indicators and incentive systems.

• Review IQVIA results, sales performance outputs and incentive-related outcomes, and ensure appropriate validation processes.

3. Field Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop Regional Managers while ensuring alignment across the sales organization.

• Set direction for field force effectiveness and ensure consistent execution of sales priorities across regions.

• Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback and development initiatives.

• Translate field insights into strategic actions to strengthen execution excellence and business performance.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical, Training, Business Excellence (BEX) and other relevant functions.

• Ensure effective field implementation of agreed business strategies and priorities.

• Share field feedback, market trends and competitive intelligence to support business decision-making.

• Act as a strong bridge between field realities and business priorities.

• Partner with the Business Excellence team to review sales performance, field force effectiveness, CRM utilization, sales analytics and key performance indicators.

5. Digital & Omnichannel Excellence

• Promote effective use of CRM, Lynx and other digital sales tools across the sales organization.

• Support the integration of omnichannel approaches into field execution and engagement activities.

• Advocate for a forward-looking approach by exploring and leveraging AI enabled capabilities to enhance sales effectiveness, field productivity and decision making.

• Leverage sales analytics, field insights and performance data to drive data-based decision making.

• Collaborate with relevant functions on digital adoption, omnichannel enablement and continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Utilize insights generated through digital channels to support sales strategies and field action plans.

6. Budget & Resource Management

• Support effective planning and utilization of sales-related budgets and resources.

• Manage, in coordination with relevant functions, the planning of product activity budgets impacting sales execution.

• Drive efficient resource allocation and maximize return on investment.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

7. People & Organization Management

• Support recruitment, talent management, succession planning and career development initiatives.

• Drive effective performance management processes across the sales organization.

• Partner with People & Culture Department on compensation, reward and organizational development initiatives.

• Foster employee engagement, development and a high-performance culture.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business Administration or a related field.

• Min. 13–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Strong track record in sales leadership and people management.

• Experience managing regional and/or national sales organizations.

• Experience in sales forecasting, performance management and field force effectiveness.

• Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking capability.

• Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, digital tools and omnichannel engagement approaches.

• Fluency in English.
