3rd Party Technology Transfer Manager

Responsibilities:
• Nurture effective working relationships with contract labs and research institutes in many countries and regions.
• Evaluating contract laboratories, establishing contracts, and coordinating outsourcing projects.
• Master in method development skills and validation design through understanding of ICH/FDA/EU guidelines.
• Develop work plan, negotiate contracts, and manage project executions from start to completion.
• Coordinating the release and stability testing of drug products at the contract labs.
• Providing analytical support for product development and technology transfer through to commercial stages.
• Oversee, prioritize, and manage multiple analytical development and tech transfer projects for existing and new drug products, pre-formulations, reverse engineering of innovator products, formulations, and finished products.
• Preparing methods, validation protocols, and reports, riting quality standards and stability protocols for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Developing and executing analytical support plans and budgets based on team decisions.
• Representing the technology transfer activities and creating technical content (PIDs, equipment mapping, risk assessment reports, batch production records, process flow diagrams, etc.).
• Performing engineering calculations and collaborating with chemistry teams to design and execute experiments ensuring the development of robust and trouble-free processes
• Monitor products and processes on the shop floor after they go live, identify trouble spots in new products, and troubleshoot them effectively.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a CDMO or pharmaceutical generics company
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hungarian (both written and verbal)
• Willingness to frequent travel
• Good fundamental chemical and mechanical engineering knowledge in various aspects of chemical engineering operations and expertise
• Working knowledge of advanced chemistry and/or mechanical operation
• Completely proficient in chemical plant operations
• Good working knowledge of plant automation and instrumentation
• Knowledge of basic engineering calculations like hydraulics, heat transfer, and mass transfer etc.
• Negotiating skills and persuasion skills
• Good interpersonal skills – a team player
• Positive Attitude with good attention to detail
• Listening skills
