Medical & Market Access Manager

Lead medical strategy and market access initiatives for the generic pharmaceutical portfolio, ensuring scientific excellence, optimal patient access, and compliance while serving as the key medical partner to the General Manager and bridge between medical community, payers, and the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Medical Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive medical affairs strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead evidence generation planning and real-world evidence initiatives
- Monitor therapeutic area trends, competitor landscape, and scientific developments
- Drive medical insights generation to inform strategic decision-making
- Serve as medical conscience of the organization ensuring scientific integrity
Medical Affairs Operations
- Build and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and field medical visits
- Organize and facilitate Advisory Boards and medical education events
- Manage unsolicited medical inquiries (UMRs) and medical information requests
- Review and approve promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance
- Create medical content: slide decks, FAQs, standard response letters, scientific materials
Market Access & Reimbursement
- Develop and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies for product portfolio
- Prepare and submit reimbursement dossiers and HTA submissions
- Negotiate with payers, insurance funds, and formulary committees
- Create health economic models and budget impact analyses
- Demonstrate value propositions to diverse stakeholder groups (payers, hospital administrators)
- Monitor and optimize reimbursement status across product portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as strategic medical partner to General Manager in leadership team
- Provide medical and scientific support to Commercial teams (Sales, Marketing)
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance functions
- Support clinical trial initiatives and investigator-initiated studies
- Collaborate with regional and global medical teams
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all medical activities comply with local and international regulations
- Act as Final Medical Signatory for promotional materials review
- Monitor adverse event reporting and safety communication
- Maintain highest ethical standards in all external engagements
- Support pharmacovigilance activities and safety communications
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Experience & Background
- 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience in Medical Affairs OR Market Access OR related functions (MSL, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs)
- Demonstrated ability to work with KOLs and healthcare professionals
- Understanding of pharmaceutical industry and healthcare systems
- Project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities
Education & Qualifications
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) - preferred
- PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) - preferred
- PhD in Life Sciences (MedicaPharmacology, Medical Chemistry, Biology) - preferred
- MSc with substantial relevant experience - considered
Language & Communication
- Fluent Azerbaijani - native level
- Fluent English - written and verbal communication
- Strong scientific presentation skills for diverse audiences (HCP, payers, internal stakeholders)
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Ability to adapt communication style to different stakeholder groups
